This plugin concerns Zak's connection to external services through our API. You could use external services to dispose of services that Zak doesn't provide. These services may need data that are in Zak database or they may need to carry out actions in Zak.
For example, a service registering customers and sending them notices may need to read customers registered in your Zak profile. A service keeping records may need to read invoices. A service making online check-in may need to insert guests in Zak.
KAPI: Zak Application programming interface
API are functions questioning and operating in Zak, but they can be recalled remotly. It is a set of functions that can be used by your providers if authorised by you. Your authorised provider, through this technical documentation, will be able to integrate our API in his software.
Your services provider has to be authorised by you to connect to your Zak profile. You don't need to tell him your WuBook account's credentials (username and password): you just need to provide him with your api-key. The plugin KAPI is only used to create your API-Key, that will be associated to your Zak property.
To use our API in your Zak profile it is essential to have this api-key. Telling the api-key to your provider, you authorise him to connect to you Zak profile.
You can associate to the api-key generated through the plugin a name and an email, useful to trace the connected provider.
To block the connection of a provider to whom you gave your api-key, you just need to create a new api-key or disable the KAPI plugin.
To be more secure, you could associate an IP addresses list to the api-key. In this case, only connections from those IP will be authorised.
If you find problems with the service integrating our API, you don't have to contact WuBook for assistance. You have to contact directly the service provider who integrated our API on his software. The investigation on a problem must be done by your provider. First, he has to check integration's implementation on his software. Then, he can speak directly with WuBook about technical issues, providing data and information necessary for checks.
